Ajay Rao is an IIM Ahmedabad management post-graduate, a CFA charter holder and M.S. in Finance from ICFAI University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University. He has also successfully completed a 1-year Finance specialisation program from IIM, Calcutta.

Over 12 years of diverse experience across equity and debt markets. He has worked across various finance verticals such as equity research, investment banking and private equity advisory, debt syndication, IPO execution, portfolio management, Project appraisal, financial restructuring etc.

He has worked with organisations such as J.P. Morgan, Reliance Capital Group, AllBank Finance (Allahabad Bank Group), Hem Securities etc. In his last professional role with Blacksoil Capital, Ajay led a team which executed investments across venture capital, real estate and structured debt products.
